Ingredients to make Rawas Fish Curry in Earthen Pot

  • 4 to 6 pieces of salmon (rawas, cleaned n washed)
  • Half freshly grated coconut
  • 2-3 tsp red chilli powder or 8-10 dry red chillies
  • 1 tbsp corriander seeds
  • 6-8 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp tamarind pulp
  • salt for taste

How to make Rawas Fish Curry in Earthen Pot

  1. Marinate fish with salt , turmeric powder , chilli powder, ginger garlic corriander paste and tamarind pulp for 10 min
  2. Heat oil in an earthen pot. saute 2 crushed garlic and add marinated fish
  3. Grind coconut with garlic and corriander seeds to fine paste
  4. Add to the fish and simmer for 10 min. Avoid stirring.
  5. Serve with bhakri or steamed rice
