Ingredients to make Singhada / Water Chestnut flour Halwa/Sheera

  • Singhada flour 1 cup
  • clarified butter 1/3 cup
  • jaggery / Sugar 1/2 cup or as per your taste
  • Milk 1 1/2 cups
  • Dry fruits to garnish

How to make Singhada / Water Chestnut flour Halwa/Sheera

  1. In a heavy bottom wok heat clarified butter ( ghee) and add singhada flour
  2. Roast with constant stirring till nice aroma comes
  3. Add milk mix well and cook covered for 2-3 mins on low heat
  4. Add jaggery / sugar mix it well and again cook covered till sugar dissolved
  5. Garnish with dry fruits.

My Tip:

Roast on low heat. It gives a good taste to halwa
