Amla, Dates and Tomato Khatti Meethi Chutney

Ingredients to make Amla, Dates and Tomato Khatti Meethi Chutney

  • Amla or indian gooseberry 6
  • tomato 1 small , ripe
  • dates 6
  • jaggery 40 gms , melt in hot water and strain
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Dry red chilli 2
  • Black musturd seeds and cumin seeds together 1/4 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  • water 1 1/2 Cup

How to make Amla, Dates and Tomato Khatti Meethi Chutney

  1. Boil amla in 1 cup water with salt for 15 mins , discard seeds
  2. Now cut them lengthwise
  3. Chop tomatoes
  4. Now heat oil in a nonstick pan
  5. Add dry red chilli , cumin seeds , black mustard seeds , crackle them
  6. Now add amla , tomato and dates
  7. Add turmeric powder , salt
  8. Cover and cook for 5 mins
  9. Add chilli powder
  10. Add jaggery syrup and water
  11. When the chutney becomes thick switch off gas
  12. Your chutney is ready to eat
