ABOUT Amla Jam RECIPE

Amla is a vital source of Vitamin- C. You can easily get the nutrition of Gooseberry by making jam. It takes very less time to make amla Jam and is equally nutritious.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Amla- 500 gms.
  2. Sugar - 500 gms
  3. Cardamom - 3-4
  4. Cinnamon verum- 2-3

Instructions

  1. Wash the amla twice with water.
  2. Take a pan and pour 1 cup water into it. Put the amla into it and cover it with a lid. Cook the amla on low flame till they become tender. Check after every 5 minutes. If you feel that the water has reduced and amla are still hard, then put more water into the pan.
  3. Strain the water from the amla with the help of strainer. You can use this water to make any other dish. Let the amla cool down. Take out the seeds from the amla
  4. Blend the amla in the mixer and make a paste.
  5. Now take a steel pan. Put the amla paste into it along with sugar and cook on a medium flame. Stir the mixturecontinuously. Once the sugar dissolves completely, the colour of the paste will start to change.
  6. Keep on testing the mixture at short intervals. Turn off the flame when it will start to stick between the fingers like a jam.
  7. Peel and grind the cardamom and Cinnamon verum and put them into the jam. Your tasty and healthy amla Jam is ready.
  8. Store the jam in a glass or a plastic container that can be consumed for several months.
