Gond ke Laddu/Dink Laddu/Edible Gum Sweet Laddu

Ingredients to make Gond ke Laddu/Dink Laddu/Edible Gum Sweet Laddu

  • Gond (edible gum) - 3 tablespoons
  • Desi ghee - 4 and 1/2 tablespoons
  • Whole wheat flour - 1 and 1/4 cups
  • Powdered Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Almonds, roughly chopped - 12 to 14
  • Cashew nuts, finely chopped - 12 to 14
  • Desi ghee for deep-frying

How to make Gond ke Laddu/Dink Laddu/Edible Gum Sweet Laddu

  1. Heat 3 and 1/2 tablespoons of ghee in a broad non-stick pan.
  2. Add the whole wheat flour and roast it over a medium flame for 6 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  3. Keep aside to cool completely.
  4. Heat the ghee for deep-frying in a wok and deep-fry the gond till the pieces puffs up.
  5. Drain on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
  6. In the remaining hot ghee, add almonds and cashew nuts and fry for about one minute on a low flame.
  7. Drain on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
  8. Combine the fried gond, remaining 1 tablespoon of ghee, roasted wheat flour, powdered sugar, cardamom powder, fried almonds and cashew nuts in a deep bowl and mix well.
  9. Divide the mixture into 15 portions and shape each portion into a round ball.
  10. Gond ke laddus are ready to be served.
  11. Enjoy the laddu with a glass of warm milk.

My Tip:

1. Gond ke laddu can be made in advance and stored in an air-tight container. 2. Servings depend upon size the of laddus. 3. I have used 200 ml measuring cup.
