Palak-Corn Pulav

Ingredients to make Palak-Corn Pulav

  • Spinach - 1 bunch
  • American corn - 1 cup
  • Onions - 2
  • Green chillies - 4
  • Garlic - 8 to 10 cloves
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Rice - 1 cup
  • butter - 1 tbsp
  • Peppercorns - 6 to 8
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Palak-Corn Pulav

  1. In a pressure cooker add butter, cumin seeds, chopped garlic, slitted green chilies, peppercorns and turmeric. On a medium flame cook for a 1 minute.
  2. Add in the finely chopped onions, chopped spinach leaves and saute for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Now add rice, American Corn and a pinch of salt. For better results, soak rice in water for half an hour before adding it to the pressure cooker.
  4. Add in 2 bowls of water and pressure cook it for 10 minutes.
