Mushroom Butter Masala

Ingredients to make Mushroom Butter Masala

  • mushroom- 200 gms sliced
  • onions-2 big sliced
  • tomatoes-3 big sliced
  • Ginge- grated 2spoon
  • garlic-7 cloves
  • Garam masala-2 spoons
  • Kashmiri chili powder- 1 spoon
  • lemon juice-1 spoon
  • cardamom-1 small piece
  • oil -2 tablespoons
  • butter As required
  • Kasuri methi -1pinch
  • bay leaf

How to make Mushroom Butter Masala

  1. Heat oil in a pan 1 tablespoon and Saute onions,tomatoes, ginger and garlic till turns red.
  2. Allow it to cool and blend it to fine paste
  3. Heat oil in same pan fry cardamom & bay leaf. Add ground paste and Saute till oil comes up. Now add chili powder, Garam masala and salt
  4. Add sliced mushrooms and fry till the paste coats the mushroom. Now add a little water to the gravy.
  5. Once gravy starts thickening add lemon juice and turn off the flame.Add a pinch of Kasuri methi , fresh cream(optional) and butter as required.
  6. We can use butter completely instead of oil to get a restaurant like taste or use only oil if you are health conscious.
