Dates Dry Fruit Katori

Ingredients to make Dates Dry Fruit Katori

  • Seedless dates- 200 gms
  • cashews - 1/4 cup
  • almonds -1/4 cup
  • pistachios -1/4 cup
  • poppy seeds - 2 tbsp
  • Milk powder 1 tbsp optional
  • ghee -1 tbsp
  • Khoya 100 gm
  • cinnamon powder 1 pinch
  • cardamom powder 2 pinch

How to make Dates Dry Fruit Katori

  1. Dry roast poppy seeds in medium flame till they are aromatic.
  2. Soak nuts for an hour and cut into small pieces and dry roast them for 1-2 minutes on medium flame.
  3. Chop dates into small pieces, add milk powder and cinnamon powder then grind it and make a fine paste.
  4. Heat ghee in a non stick pan and add dates.
  5. Saute on a medium low flame till dates become soft and pulpy. Cook till it come together like a ball
  6. It may take 4 -7 minutes depending on the quality of dates.
  7. Allow the mixture to cool a bit and give the shape of katori and Spread poppy seeds in a plate and roll the katori so that the katori get coated with poppy seeds.
  8. Refrigerate or set aside for 1 -2 hours.
  9. Now make a filling of chopped nuts, panner, khoya elaichi powder and bit of milk powder mix it well and fill the katoris.
  10. Serve.

My Tip:

if you want to keep for a long time then avoid paneer, khoya.
