Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Channa-1 glass
  2. Onions-2 big
  3. Tomatoes -2 big
  4. Cumin seeds-2spoon
  5. Mint leaves-1cup
  6. Chilli powder-1-2 spoon as required
  7. Garam masala -1 spoon
  8. Salt as required
  9. Oil -2 tablespoons
  10. Lemon juice-2 spoons
  11. Onion- 1 cup chopped

Instructions

  1. Wash and Soak Channa for 7-8 hours . Rinse it and pressure cook. Keep 4-5 whistles. When you press Channa it has to be very soft . Once it is done keep aside
  2. Blend onions, tomatoes, cumin seeds, mint leaves to a fine paste without adding water
  3. Now heat oil in a pan and fry blended paste till raw smell goes. Add chilli powder, Garam masala and salt
  4. Fry for another 5 mins . Now add cooked Channa along with the water which we used while boiling Channa.
  5. Cook for another 5-8mins till the gravy coats well with Channa
  6. Add lemon juice and turn off the flame
  7. Add chopped onion for garnishing
  8. This goes well with chapati and poori.
