Baked Vegetable Roll

Ingredients to make Baked Vegetable Roll

  • maida 1 cup
  • Rice flour 1 cup
  • salt - as per taste
  • water - chilled for mixing dough
  • baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
  • oil - 1 teaspoon
  • capsicum - 1 medium finely chopped
  • onion - 1 small finely chopped
  • Cheese - 1 -3 cubes grated
  • garlic - 5-6 Cloves chopped
  • butter - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh Chilies - green or red - finely chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh Herbs of your choice

How to make Baked Vegetable Roll

  1. For dough Mix Maida, rice flour, baking soda, salt, oil , water and keep aside - keep a wet cloth or keep a plate on top
  2. For filling, In a pan, add oil and butter.Add garlic, let it be sauted until golden brown Add chilled, onion and saute. Add salt, black pepper, herbs and finally butter 1/2 tsp at the end. Turn off the flame and keep the mixture aside
  3. For rolls, Take a small piece of dough, flatten it and add mixture and add grated cheese on the top and wrap it Make other rolls in the same manner.Use a non-stick pan or microwave for baking the rolls. If you are using a non-stop pan, shallow fry the rolls on all sides until it is golden brown If you are using a microwave - bake at 180° for 8-10 minutes
  4. For garnishing - fry chopped spinach leaves and saute with chopped garlic and sesame seeds , add salt , powdered sugar and garnish it

My Tip:

You can add anyother desired vegetables like carrots, paneer, etc for the filling. Also, instead of baking the rolls can be steamed. Garnish is optional and can be of your choice
