ABOUT #Potato Roses RECIPE

These crisp potato roses are so adorable on plates. Potato chips assembled to look like beautiful roses and deep fried to make crisp.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Potato 2 medium sized
  2. Salt 1 tsp
  3. Oil to deep fry

Instructions

  1. Wash potatoes properly.
  2. Slice them into very thin chips using a slicer.
  3. Soak all sliced chips in cold water with salt for an hour. Soaking slices in salt water for an hour makes them soft hence easy to handle.
  4. Now arrange chips into flower. Each slice would serve a petal of the flower.
  5. Use a thick finger of potato as bud and arrange slices as petals of the flower using tooth picks. I used two tooth picks for single flower to fix petals.
  6. Now gently turn all petals outwards to get a blooming flower and place it downwards on clean dry cloth.
  7. Prepare all roses likewise. I got 5 flowers.
  8. Heat oil in a wok to deep fry roses.
  9. Put roses in hot oil upside down. Deep fry on medium hot oil till crisp.
  10. Happy cooking!
