How To Make Yakitori

It is a Japanese Style Skewered Chicken. This is easy to make a great for enjoying some drinks with friends

Ingredients to make Yakitori

  • 450g Chicken
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Sake
  • 1/4 cup Mirin
  • 2 Onion
  • Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Steps to make Yakitori

  1. Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 mins.
  2. In a small pot mix soy sauce, sugar ,sake and mirin, boil for 10 mins
  3. Cut the chicken into cubes and the onion into long pieces.
  4. Skewer chicken and onions altenately.
  5. Heat oil in a flat frying pan.
  6. Add the cooked skewered meat and salt, cook until browned on all side for 5 mins.
  7. Dip chicken in store-bought Teriyaki sauce and serve.

    This does not seem as difficult as the other recipes - seems achievable !!
