Chicken Croquettes with Carrot Sticks

Ingredients to make Chicken Croquettes with Carrot Sticks

  • chicken Keema 500gms
  • green chilly paste 1tbsp or according to taste
  • ginger garlic paste 2tbsp
  • Chopped bell peppers(red, green, yellow) 1/2cup
  • onion finely sliced 1/2cup
  • Mashed boiled potato 1cup
  • Roasted jeera powder 1/2tsp
  • salt to taste
  • lime juice 1tbsp
  • Saffola oats 100gms roughly ground
  • 2eggs
  • cornflour
  • oil for frying

How to make Chicken Croquettes with Carrot Sticks

  1. Clean the chicken keema nicely and strain water.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add ginger garlic paste saute for 1min.
  3. Now add the sliced onions and fry until it turns to light pink colour
  4. Now add the finely copped bell peppers, add salt and cook for sometime till vegetables are cooked nicely.
  5. Now in a mixing bowl take the minced chicken, the mixture from the pan, lemon juice, mashed potato, roasted jeera powder, greenchilly paste and mix well. Add a little of saffola oats and cornflour for the binding.
  6. Beat eggs in a separate bowl and take the crushed saffola oats in a plate
  7. Now take the carrot sticks(medium sized carrots are cut vertically). Take the chicken mixture and wrap around the carrot sticks to make a sheekh form. Now dip into the beaten eggs and roll on saffola oats. Deep fry in oil.
  8. Chicken croquettes are ready to be served with salad or sauce of your choice.

My Tip:

Serve with Chilly mayo sauce or pudine ki chutney.
