Crispy Falafel

Ingredients to make Crispy Falafel

  • 2 cups of chickpeas, soaked overnight and ground to a paste.
  • 2 small onions finely chopped
  • 1 small bunch coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp chilli Powder
  • 1-2 tsp cumin powder
  • 2-3 tbsp cornflour
  • salt to taste
  • oil to deep fry

How to make Crispy Falafel

  1. Mix all ingredients together except the oil, adjust the salt and chilli powder according to your taste.
  2. Make small patties.
  3. Heat the oil in a wok
  4. Deep fry the patties on medium high heat till golden brown.
  5. Remove with a slotted spoon on absorbent paper
  6. Serve hot with the sauce of your choice and fresh salad

My Tip:

These freeze very well.
