Urlele is a Marathi word for leftovers. Use it all to make a yummy snack which gets over as soon as it is served

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Boiled Potato 1 large ( or old aloo sabji)
  2. Onion 1 large, finely chopped
  3. carrot 1 grated
  4. Cauliflower 50gms grated
  5. Cabbage 50 gms finely chopped
  6. Green chillies - to taste
  7. Ginger -1" piece grated
  8. garlic 2 pods crushed
  9. Rava 2 tbsp
  10. Salt - to taste
  11. Tomato paste - 2 tbsp
  12. Bread 2 slices
  13. Besan 3 tbsp
  14. Eno - 1 tsp
  15. Water to bind

Instructions

  1. Mash the boiled potatoes. Add all other grated vegetables, chillies, ginger, garlic, tomato paste, salt and mix well. Add the rava, besan and mix again. Soak the bread in some water and mash the slices. Add this mashed bread to the mix. Mix well.
  2. Mix the Eno in some water and add to the mix. Mix well again. Add as much water as required.
  3. In a frying pan, heat oil well.
  4. Make small balls of the mix.
  5. Deep fry the balls till golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with sauce or chutney
