Ingredients to make Garden Pockets

  • Ingredients for cover -
  • maida 1/2cup
  • semolina 1/2cup
  • oil 1tbsp
  • salt
  • red chilli powder 1/2tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4tsp
  • coriander powder 1tsp
  • sugar 1tsp
  • Finely chopped mint leaves 2tbsp
  • Ingredients for filling -
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves 2cups
  • peanuts 3tbsp
  • ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  • Green chilli 2
  • gram flour /besan 4tbsp
  • oil 2tbsp
  • curry leaves 6-7
  • oil for frying

How to make Garden Pockets

  1. Mix all ingredients of dough add water as needed and make a normal dough keep aside for 10 minutes
  2. For filling heat oil in a pan add peanuts curry leaves saute
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and add coriander leaves. Cook them for 2 minutes
  4. Add gram flour and roast for 2 minutes. Add salt, red chilli powder, haldi, coriander powder mix
  5. Add 2 tbsp of water and 1tsp sugar to it . mix and turn off gas
  6. Make small balls of dough and make a little thick chapati
  7. Cut this chapati in a square shape place filling in the middle of it
  8. Fold all corners of chapati and stick them to each other with the help of water
  9. Heat oi,l deep fry the pockets and serve with tomato sauce
