Ingredients to make Jalebi

  • maida-3/4cup
  • Baking powder-a pinch
  • baking soda-a pinch
  • curd-1/3cup
  • ghee for Deep Frying
  • For sugar syrup -
  • sugar-3/4cup
  • saffron-1/2tsp
  • Milk-1tsp

How to make Jalebi

  1. For sugar syrup -
  2. Combine sugar with 1/3cup of water together in a pan and cook on medium flame till the sugar dissolves and is of 1 thread consistency. Stir continuously
  3. Add saffron and rose water to syrup and mix well.keep aside
  4. For batter-
  5. Combine all the ingredients with 1/3cup of water in a bowl and mix well.keep aside.
  6. Heat ghee in pan and pipe the jalebi using a plastic bottle with nozzle .
  7. Fry till crisp and transfer immediately into warm syrup.
  8. Drain from sugar syrup and serve hot.
