Whole Wheat Pizza

Ingredients to make Whole Wheat Pizza

  • For the base- Dough
  • Whole wheat flour 1 cup
  • sugar 1 tbs
  • Fresh yeast 1tsp
  • Lukewarm water 3/4 cup
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • olive oil 2 tbs
  • For topping -
  • Pizza Sauce 4 tbsp
  • Diced Bell pepper 3 tbsp
  • olives 2 tbsp
  • cottage cheese(Cubes) 150 gm
  • Mozzarella cheese(Grated) 200 gm
  • Cheese Spread 2 tbsp
  • American corn 3 tbsp
  • Diced onion 3 tbsp
  • Diced tomato 3 tbsp
  • Chopped mushroom 100 gm
  • Oregano seasoning 2 tbsp
  • chilli flakes 1 tbsp
  • salt 1 tsp

How to make Whole Wheat Pizza

  1. In a bowl take lukewarm water. Mix sugar and yeast to it. Keep it aside until froth.
  2. In another bowl take flour and salt. Mix the yeast solution to it and make a dough.
  3. Initially the dough will be sticky but keep on kneading it for about 10 minutes. After kneading you will get a non-sticky and smooth dough.
  4. Keep this dough in a greased bowl and cover it with cling wrap. Let it rest for about 40 minutes or until it doubles in volume.
  5. Now take this dough out on a dusted surface and punch it. Knead it for 5 minutes.
  6. Divide this dough into two equal portions.
  7. now roll out each dough ball into a circular shape of sheet with thickness 1/4 inch. Make sure the sheet(Pizza Base) should be equal in thickness for even baking.
  8. Place this pizza base on a greased baking tray.
  9. Meanwhile preheat the oven at 220 degree C for 10 minutes.
  10. Spread pizza sauce and cheese spread on the base.
  11. Add all the vegetables.
  12. Sprinkle some salt, seasoning and chilli flakes.
  13. Spread grated cheese on top.
  14. Bake it in a preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
  15. After 15 minutes, change the settings of oven from bake mode to grill mode and let is bake for another 5 minutes to get golden top.
  16. Your Home made fresh Pizza is ready to serve.

My Tip:

I always use my home made fresh Pizza sauce for my pizzas.
