Basil Pesto

Ingredients to make Basil Pesto

  • Fresh basil leaves 2 cups
  • Roasted peanut 1 cup
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese or processed cheese 1 cup
  • garlic 3 cloves roasted
  • olive oil 1/3 cup
  • Fresh lemon juice 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Fresh ground pepper 1/2 tsp

How to make Basil Pesto

  1. Mix all the ingredients except oil in a mixer.
  2. Blend all together.
  3. Pour oil slowly while mixing.
  4. Grind till everything is blended together and get a smooth paste.
  5. Serve it with pasta or salad.

My Tip:

you can try adding your favorite herbs like cilantro, mint, parsley, spinach. you can use any nuts for it. Add your favorite spices also like cayenne,ginger,green chilli.
