THINAI / FOXTAIL MILLET CHEESE PAKORAS

Ingredients to make THINAI / FOXTAIL MILLET CHEESE PAKORAS

  • Thinai/Foxtail millet -2 cups
  • besan - 1/2 cup
  • Grated Processed cheese - 1 1/2 cups
  • Beaten curd 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup
  • Ginger- garlic- green chillies paste - 2 tbsps
  • salt - to taste
  • oil - for deep frying

How to make THINAI / FOXTAIL MILLET CHEESE PAKORAS

  1. Heat a pan and roast the thinai/ foxtail millet till golden.
  2. Allow it to cool and powder it to rava like consistency.
  3. Take a bowl and mix everything together like pakora batter.
  4. If the batter is too thick just sprinkle some water and mix well.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and drop spoonful of batter gently into the oil.
  6. Fry pakoras till golden and crisp.
  7. Thinai cheese pakoras are ready to serve.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy it with a cup of hot tea.

My Tip:

Usually pakoras are prepared with besan but I have prepared these pakoras with foxtail millet/ thinai to make it healthier.
