CAULIFLOWER NUGGETS

Ingredients to make CAULIFLOWER NUGGETS

  • cauliflower florets 2 cups
  • garlic 12 nos
  • ginger 1 inch
  • coriander leaves a bunch
  • salt 1 tsp
  • chilli powder 3 tsp
  • egg 1
  • Poha 1 cup
  • oil for deep frying

How to make CAULIFLOWER NUGGETS

  1. Boil 3 cups of water .When water reaches boiling temperature add cauliflower florets and boil for 2 mins. Switch off the flame , close the vessel and let it rest for 10 mins. After 10 mins drain the water completely and let it dry for 5 min.
  2. Grind ginger and garlic to a fine paste. Chop coriander leaves to small bits.
  3. Grind poha to fine powder and add a tsp of chilli powder to poha and mix well.
  4. When water is drained completely from cauliflower add ginger garlic paste , salt , 2 tsp chilli powder , coriander leaves and mix well . Finally add egg and mix well. Keep aside the marinated cauliflower for 30 mins or more.
  5. After 30 mins of resting ,heat oil in wide kadai . Take each floret, roll in poha powder once and deep fry in oil.
  6. Fry till golden brown and remove from oil. Drain the oil completely and serve hot.

My Tip:

You can replace egg with all purpose flour or cornflour powder mixed in a teaspoon of water. Also as I am feeding the same to my kid I boil gobi in for 3 mins. If you are sure it is worms free you can add without boiling too.But I suggest to boil and then use it to be on the safe side.
