ABOUT SNAKEGUARD SEEDS PAKODA RECIPE

Grandma used to prepare a dish with everything , She would not waste anything.Older generations knew the value of natural resources so they used every part of vegetables.They made chutney with ridgeguard skin ( which we usually throw away ) and also pakoda with snakeguard seeds.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Snakeguard seeds 1/2 cup.
  2. Onion 1/2 cup (chopped).
  3. Curry leaves 1 sprig.
  4. All purpose flour / Maida 1/2 cup.
  5. Besan flour 1 cup.
  6. Bajji mix 1/2 cup.
  7. Chilli powder 1/2 tsp.
  8. Salt as required.
  9. Oil for deep frying.

Instructions

  1. Chop curry leaves into small pieces.
  2. In a wide bowl add all the above ingredients and mix till no lumps remain.
  3. Add required amount of water and mix to form thick pakoda consistency.
  4. Heat oil in a wide kadai and drop the batter as small balls and deep fry till golden brown.
  5. Remove from oil ,drain the oil and serve hot.
