How to make Koorka fry

  1. Clean the koorka and remove the skin. If it is big, cut into small pieces.
  2. Cook koorka with salt and turmeric adding enough water in a pan. Or take a pressure cooker, put koorka along with turmeric and salt. Add very little water. When the 1st whistle is about to come, switch off flame.
  3. Take a pan and put some oil. Then add chopped onion, red chillies and curry leaves. Fry well.
  4. Then add boiled and strained koorka. Fry . Then add chilli powder and enough salt. Fry for 3 to 4 min. Your dish is ready. This is a very good side dish for rice .

My Tip:

To remove the skin of koorka is a bit difficult . One easy way is just put koorka in water overnight. Next morning strain and rub it on a rough surface or put in a sack and rub with your hands. Most of the skin will b removed.
