Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Half bowl of basan (gram flour)
  2. 1 bowl matar dana (green peas)
  3. 1 tablespoon corn flour (To make it crispy)
  4. 2-3 fine chopped chillies
  5. 5-6 curry leaves finely chopped
  6. 1/4 table spoon of ajwain
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil (to fry)
  9. Water (to make the batter)

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add all the ingredients and mix well with water to make the batter smooth (like the batter made for malpua).
  2. Add matar dana (green peas) and mix well again.
  3. Heat up the pan and add enough oil for frying purposes. Drop a spoonful batter in the heated oil.
  4. Fry it till it becomes golden brown.
  5. Remove the matar dana out onto a plate. Make sure the plate has a tissue paper on it, so that it can absorb most of the oil from the matar dana.
  6. Your crispy, yummy matar dana is ready to be served. Serve hot with tomato chutney
