Quinoa Chakli/ Quinoa Murukku

Ingredients to make Quinoa Chakli/ Quinoa Murukku

  • 2 cups Rice flour
  • 1 cup Quinoa flour
  • 1/2 cup Roasted gram flour
  • 3 tbsp butter (room temperature)
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida powder
  • salt
  • oil for Deep frying

How to make Quinoa Chakli/ Quinoa Murukku

  1. Take the rice flour, quinoa flour, roasted gram flour, butter, cumin seeds, asafoetida powder, salt and ajwain seeds in a large bowl.
  2. Gradually add the water and knead everything as a soft and stiff dough.
  3. Heat the oil for deep frying in a kadai.
  4. Take a murukku press with star nozzle, pinch a small portion of the dough, drop it into the press and squeeze out as round shaped murukku in a greased flat plate.
  5. Once the oil is hot, drop the squeezed murukku.
  6. Fry on both sides until it turns golden brown, drain the excess oil with paper towel. Repeat the same process until the dough gets finished.
  7. Fry the murukkus in small batches. Arrange in an air tight containers and enjoy.
