Healthy moong dal bhajyas. Use yellow moong without skin.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 cup yellow moong dal without skin
  2. Turmeric powder 1tsp
  3. Hing a pinch
  4. Salt as required
  5. Coriander leaves chopped as required
  6. Ginger 1/2 inch
  7. Chilly 2
  8. Rice flour 1 tbsp
  9. Chilly Powder 1tsp
  10. Jeera powder 1tsp
  11. Oil for frying
  12. Dhania powder 1 tsp
  13. Water as required

Instructions

  1. Soak moong dal for 3 hrs.
  2. After 3 hrs grind coarsely (not fine) with water. Use as little water as possible.
  3. Add ginger and chilly and grind.
  4. Add turmeric, hing, red chilly powder, jeera, coriander powder, rice powder, salt and coriander leaves to the moong.
  5. Mix well .
  6. Heat oil .
  7. Drop small balls of the above mixture.
  8. Fry till brown. Place on a tissue paper.
  9. Serve hot with sauce or chutney.
