Tawa paneer tikka

Ingredients to make Tawa paneer tikka

  • paneer : 250 gram / 1 packet cut into cubes
  • capsicum : 1 washed, deseeded and cut into cubes.
  • onion : 1 peeled, washed and cut into cubes
  • tomato : 2 deseeded and cubed
  • For marinating :
  • Hung curd : 1 cup
  • ginger garlic paste : 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • turmeric powder to taste
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder to taste
  • coriander powder to taste
  • Kasuri methi to taste
  • cumin powder to taste
  • chat masala to taste
  • lemon juice : 2 tbsp
  • Red food colour : 1 pinch

How to make Tawa paneer tikka

  1. In a bowl take hung curd. Add salt, ginger garlic paste, black pepper, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, kasuri methi, cumin powder, chat masala and lemon juice. Mix well to smooth paste. Now add red food color and mix well.
  2. Add chopped vegetables and paneer in the marinated muxture. Mix well. Cover it and keep it in the fridge overnight or maximum 8 hrs so that all the veggies and paneer gets well coated.
  3. Take it out of the fridge and keep aside for 1/2 hr before cooking. Now heat tawa and drizzle little oil on it. Lower the flame. Now put veggies and paneer on tawa. Separate it with spoon from one another so that all of them get evenly cooked. Cook one side till golden then turn the side and cook it also till golden.
  4. Transfer it to a plate. Take toothpicks, arrange the layers and place it in a serving plate.
  5. Serve warm.
