ABOUT Sweet banana fry (Pazham Ularthiyathu) RECIPE

A sweet dish of Kerala made of banana, coconut, sugar and ghee. Can be taken as a dessert or a snack.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Ripe bananas 1 1/2 cup
  2. Eggs 2
  3. Sugar 2 tbsp ( you can add according to your taste)
  4. Ghee 2 Tbsp
  5. Grated coconut 3/4 cup
  6. Cashew and kismis 50 g
  7. Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take a pan and put 1 tbsp of ghee. Fry kismis & cashews. Remove. Then add coconut and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. The coconut should not change colour. Remove that too.
  2. Add 2 tbsp of ghee, add banana pieces and fry for 2 min. Then add well beaten eggs. Scramble it . Mix both well.
  3. Add sugar , coconut and cardamom powder. Stir everything well for 3 to 4 min. If u want colour, you can add a pinch of yellow colour or a pinch of turmeric powder. Add the cashews & kismis . Keep some for decoration. This s a very delicious dish.
