Ingredients to make Bhuna Teekha Murg

  • Chicken(boneless) - 500 gms
  • Finely Chopped onion - 1 medium
  • Grated tomato - 1 medium
  • Whole green chillies - 6-7
  • Finely Chopped garlic - 2 tbsp
  • Finely Chopped ginger - 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  • Chicken masala - 1 tbsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Refined oil

How to make Bhuna Teekha Murg

  1. Marinade the chicken with salt, half turmeric and lime juice. Keep aside for at least 2 hours.
  2. Heat oil for frying. Fry the chicken pieces till light brown and keep them on a tissue to drain excess oil.
  3. Heat some oil and saute chopped onion till golden brown, then add ginger and garlic saute them together for 5 minutes. Keep the flame on low.
  4. Add tomato, turmeric, red chilli powder, chicken masala, chat masala, green chillies, salt and sugar cook it for 5-10 minutes or till it releases oil on the sides.
  5. Now add the chicken pieces coat them well in the masala. Add 1/2 cup of water, cover it with a lid and cook it for some minutes till the chicken gets well cooked.
