Ingredients to make Potato Cheese Corn Balls

  • 2-3 boiled potatoes
  • Half a cup of corn
  • coriander leaves or parsley 1/4 th cup
  • 2-3 green chillies or chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cummin powder
  • A cup of mozzarella
  • 1 tsp of all spice or curry powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Bread crumbs 1 cup
  • 2 Beaten eggs

How to make Potato Cheese Corn Balls

  1. Boil and mash the potatoes . Add a little salt and black pepper to season them .
  2. Mix all the other ingredients which will become the filling.
  3. Take a small amount of mashed potato . Flatten it out on your palm .
  4. Place a tsp of the filling onto the center .
  5. Take another flat disc of mashed potato and layer it on top of the already made layer .
  6. Carefully seal the edges . With the help of your hands , shape them into balls .
  7. Dip each ball into the beaten eggs and then coat them into the bread crumbs .
  8. In oil which is heated on medium flame , deep fry your balls for only a min or till they turn slightly brown.
  9. Serve them hot with ketchup or chutneys of your choice .

My Tip:

The oil should be preferably heated on medium flame and the balls should also be cooked on medium flame . Don't fry the balls for more than a min . This is because we are only trying to melt the cheese in the filling. Too much frying can crack the balls open which may inturn lead to the cheese coming out into the oil and thus making everything messy .
