ABOUT Italian Lasagna RECIPE

When it comes to a contest we all will come to know what our capability is! Contests helps us to think beyond our limits. So it is always good to participate in contests. Winning or not winning is secondary. When the Italian contest was announced by BetterButter I first thought of not participating and at last minute I suddenly thought of this idea and gave a try.The lasagna was so yummy and it was served to our whole family for breakfast.The recipe of this dish is below.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Minced chicken ; 200 gms
  2. Pizza sauce or Spaghetti sauce 7 tablespoon
  3. Mozzarella cheese 100 gms
  4. Eggs 2 numbers
  5. Dried parsley or Pizza toppings 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Salt as required
  7. Pepper 2 teaspoon
  8. Pasta 1 cup
  9. Water 1/4 cup
  10. Paneer 100 gms
  11. Sweet potato 5 slices

Instructions

  1. In a pan add minced chicken and fry in medium flame till it changes to pale colour and moisture evaporates completely.
  2. Now add pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce, salt and 1/2 tsp pepper to chicken and cook in low flame for 5 minutes. When chicken and sauce blends with each other well remove from flame and keep it aside till further use.
  3. In a bowl add grated cheese , grated paneer , eggs , toppings , salt , pepper and mix well.
  4. Pre-heat your oven to 170 degrees Celsius for 35 mins.
  5. In your baking tray spread one layer of chicken mixture , then followed by a layer of pasta , then with cheese mixture .
  6. Again repeat the layering first with chicken mixture , then with pasta and then with cheese mixture . Repeat the process till the tray is filled.
  7. Finally place the sliced sweet potato on the top and sprinkle some toppings ,pour the water along the edges of the tray and bake in pre-heated oven for 35 mins.
  8. After 35 mins of baking or when the potatoes edges shrinks ,remove from flame and serve hot.
