How to make Dates and dryfruits cake

  1. Soak the dates in warm milk for 3 to 4 hrs, and if you do not have that much time, boil the cup of water, add thinly chopped dates in it with pinch of salt and soda. Make the paste in grinder. Keep some chopped dates. Preheat the oven on 180 degree c.
  2. Now sieve the dry ingredients. Take another bowl, add butter and sugar and mix well. Now add milkmaid, vanilla extract, milk and mix well. Add the dry ingredients in wet and whisk together till no lumps remain.
  3. Now add dates paste, dry fruits and remaining chopped dates and mix. Grease a tin with butter and sprinkle some maida and pour the mixture in it.
  4. Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes or till the toothpick comes clear. Serve hot or chilled.

My Tip:

Use the milk or water in which we have soaked the dates. If u sprinkle some dryfruits over the batter it will give a yummy taste. Do it in the last 5 minutes of baking.
