Ingredients to make Onion rings with indian wings

  • Boiled and mashed potatoes 1 cup
  • Boiled and mashed peas 1/2 cup
  • green chilly finely chopped 1
  • Grated Cheese cube 1
  • coriander finely chopped
  • Beaten eggs 2
  • flour 1/2 cup
  • Breadcrumbs 1/2 cup
  • oil for frying
  • salt as per taste
  • red chilli powder as per taste
  • Chat masala as per taste
  • One large onion

How to make Onion rings with indian wings

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, mix mashed potatoes, mashed peas, grated cheese, chopped chilly, chopped coriander, salt, red chilli powder, chat masala.
  2. Cut onion into 1/2 inch slices. Carefully separate the layers into individual rings. On a wax paper lined tray, lay out onion rings and fill each with above mixture. Place tray in freezer until solid (about one hour).
  3. Add flour, beaten eggs, and bread crumbs to three separate bowls. Remove frozen rings from freezer. Roll each first in flour, then egg, then bread crumbs. Coat once more in egg and a final time in bread crumbs.
  4. In a large saucepan, heat oil. Fry onion rings in batches until nicely browned on all sides. Place on paper towellined plate to drain off any excess oil. Sprinkle some chat masala. Serve with ketch up and mayonnaise.
