Lasagna Roll Ups

Ingredients to make Lasagna Roll Ups

  • 500 gm minced mutton or beef
  • 1 cup minced onion
  • 3-4 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves crushed
  • 4 fresh tomatoes chopped
  • 100 gm tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp parsley
  • 1/2 fennel seeds
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 10 sheets lasagna
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

How to make Lasagna Roll Ups

  1. In a cooking pot , cook minced mutton , onion and garlic over medium heat until well browned .
  2. Stir in tomatoes and tomato paste .
  3. Season with sugar , parsley , fennel seeds , Italian seasoning , salt , pepper and coriander .
  4. Simmer , covered , for about 40 mins .
  5. Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
  6. In another large pot , bring water to a boil and add a generous amount of salt .
  7. Boil your lasagna noodles al dente ( to be firm to the bite ) . You don't want it to be mushy .
  8. Set your lasagna noodles aside .
  9. Once everything is cool enough to be handled , start by placing a generous amount of filling in the center .
  10. Carefully , fold the noodle enough so that everything is well covered .
  11. Do so with all the noodles .
  12. As a final step , gently place some mozzarella over each noodle and sprinkle a generous amount of parmesan .
  13. Bake these for about 12-15 mins or till the cheese has melted .
  14. Serve hot .
