ABOUT Low fat air fryer American chopsuey RECIPE

I love American chopsuey very much but because of high calories I always avoid cooking it but after I purchased an air fryer I love trying this out.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 packet Plain noodle
  2. Cornflour for dusting or coating
  3. 4 egg
  4. For Sauce
  5. 1 Red bell pepper
  6. 2 carrot
  7. 1 bunch green spring onion
  8. 1 packet mushrooms
  9. 1 cup boiled chicken
  10. 2 tbs garlic chopped
  11. 2 tbs ginger chopped
  12. 4 tbs tomato puree ( I use home made)
  13. 2 tbs dark soya sauce
  14. 2 tbs tomato ketchup
  15. 2 tbs Nagina ka magic red chili paste
  16. 1 tsp sugar
  17. 1 tsp vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer at 200 degree C.
  2. First boil the noodles and cool it down.
  3. Sprinkle some corn starch over the cooked noodles and toss well.
  4. Put the noodles in the air fryer at 200 degree C for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Take them outside and cool them.
  6. Make the sauce.
  7. Add ginger ,garlic ,red chili paste stir fry till raw smell gone.
  8. Add mushroom ,carrot , cabbage, bell pepper and stir-fry for two minutes or until the vegetables are just cooked but still retain the crispness. Now add boiled chicken.
  9. Now add tomato ketchup,tomato puree , soya sauce ,vinegar and stir well.
  10. Add pepper powder, salt and sugar.
  11. Pour in the stock or water , bring to a boil, reduce heat and stir in the blended cornstarch. Simmer for two minutes or until it thickens to a sauce consistency.
  12. Meanwhile take 1 tbs oil, prepare fried eggs in a non-stick fry pan. Arrange a portion of the fried noodles on a plate, pour a portion of the prepared sauce and top with a fried egg.
  13. Serve hot immediately.
