Tawa Fry Hara Bhara Kababs

Ingredients to make Tawa Fry Hara Bhara Kababs

  • 4 potatoes
  • 3-4 spinach leaves with stalk (steamed)
  • 1/4 cup green peas
  • 2-3 strands of fenugreek leaves/ 1 teaspoon of kasuri methi
  • 1 medium size green chilli
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp roasted coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp almond/ cashew powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 heaped tbsp roasted moong dal flour
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice
  • salt to taste
  • Garnish
  • Few bits of cashew

How to make Tawa Fry Hara Bhara Kababs

  1. Boil the potatoes in the cooker for 3-4 whistles.
  2. In a pan take little oil and saute the green peas, fenugreek leaves, chilly and ginger garlic paste
  3. Mash the potatoes and keep aside.
  4. Once little browned, grind it coarsely and mix with the mashed potatoes.
  5. Add all the powders and salt and mix well.
  6. Make small tikkis as shown in the picture
  7. Take a non-stick pan, grease it with a little oil, and shallow fry the tikkis from all sides.
  8. Serve with green chutney/ sauce of your choice.

My Tip:

f you have guests coming over and have to fry in large quantities you may consider deep frying. You can deep fry on medium flame for 5-10 minutes and remove and place on the non stick pan to fry. In this way it does not consume much oil.
