Fish Steaks in Cheesy Herb Sauce with Capsi Rice

Ingredients to make Fish Steaks in Cheesy Herb Sauce with Capsi Rice

  • Fresh whole fish 600 to 700 grams
  • Parmesan cheese 25 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese 25 grams
  • Mixed Italian herbs as per choice
  • salt to taste
  • ginger and garlic paste 1 tablespoons
  • Chopped garlic 1 teaspoon
  • pepper to taste
  • flour 1/2 cup + 1tablespoon
  • olive oil 2 tablespoons
  • Refined oil for Deep Frying
  • Corn flour 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon
  • egg 1
  • butter 1 tablespoon
  • Milk 1.5 cup
  • Sliced onion 1
  • Sliced coloured bell peppers 1 small bowl
  • Chopped onion 1
  • Chopped bell peppers 1 small bowl
  • parsley leaves little

How to make Fish Steaks in Cheesy Herb Sauce with Capsi Rice

  1. Debone the fish from both sides and clean it well
  2. Marinate both the slices of fish in ginger and garlic paste and salt to taste for 20 minutes
  3. Make a batter with the flour, corn flour and egg
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste
  5. Add baking powder
  6. Add water if required to make a smooth thick ribbon like consistency batter
  7. Now dip the marinated fish in this batter and coat well and deep fry to crisp golden brown from both sides
  8. Reserve the fried fish
  9. Heat the butter in a separate pan
  10. Add 1 tablespoon butter
  11. Add 1 tablespoons flour to the butter
  12. Mix well
  13. When the raw smell of flour is gone slowly slowly add the milk
  14. Let it thicken and stir continuously
  15. Add both the cheeses
  16. Add the mixed herbs
  17. Add salt and pepper to taste
  18. Mix well and pour over the fried fish
  19. Grill it for 10 minutes at 180 degrees C
  20. Saute the slices of onions and bell peppers in olive oil
  21. Top it over the fish in cheese sauce
  22. Saute the chopped onions and bell peppers in olive oil
  23. Add little chopped garlic to this
  24. Add the cooked rice
  25. Add salt and pepper to taste
  26. Add little Tabasco sauce
  27. Sprinkle fresh parsley chopped to the rice
  28. Mix well
  29. Serve with the fish

My Tip:

You can bake the marinated fish instead of batter frying it in case you want to cut the calories
