Spaghetti with Red pepper sauce

Ingredients to make Spaghetti with Red pepper sauce

  • Red Bell pepper 2
  • onion 2 big finely chopped
  • garlic 2 tbsp finely chopped
  • Spaghetti 1 Pkt
  • Minced chicken 1/2 kg
  • tomato Puree 100 ml
  • Dried Rosemary 1 tsp
  • olive oil 1 tbsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Spaghetti with Red pepper sauce

  1. Roast the whole red peppers over the flame of the stove until the major section of the skin is turned into black color. Once roasted put the hot peppers into a plastic bag and keep it sealed for 15-20 mins. This process will help the peppers to sweat and the skin will peel off easily. After removing the skin of the peppers, deseed them and chop the flesh
  2. In a wide pan add half stick butter and 1 tsp olive oil and saut 1 big chopped onion and 1 tbsp chopped garlic for 2 mins. Once cooled off, grind these with red peppers into a smooth paste. Do not add water.
  3. In the same pan, add half stick butter and 1 tsp olive oil. Once the butter is melted, add finely chopped medium size onion and 1 tbsp garlic and saut them. Add the minced meat and fry till it is brown. Now add the pepper paste, rosemary, tomato puree and salt to taste and mix well. Let it simmer till the meat is cooked.
  4. Spaghetti - Cook the spaghetti as per instructions in the box.
  5. For serving, place the spaghetti in the plate and top it with a ladle of sauce and sprinkle few drops of olive oil or if you dont mind the calories, mozzarella cheese.
