Ingredients to make Paalak Pakodi...

  • spinach bunches 5 to 6
  • gram flour 1/2 cup
  • onions thinly sliced 2
  • salt to taste
  • chilli powder a tsp
  • Green chillies chopped finely 2 tbsp
  • cumin powder a tsp
  • coriander powder a tsp
  • Kasoori methi a tbsp
  • Deghi mirch powder or all spice or curry powder a tsp (optional)

How to make Paalak Pakodi...

  1. Mix all of the mentioned ingredients well and keep aside. Spinach should be cut into thin strips.
  2. Let the flavours infuse well. Leave the batter undisturbed for atleast 20 mins.
  3. Heat the oil on medium flame.
  4. Drop thinly scattered balls of the batter with the help of hands only preferably and deep fry on low to medium flame.
  5. Serve these hot with any sauce or chutney.

My Tip:

Adding onion depends on you. You can very well skip it. Instead add more of spinach.
