Poha Chivda

Ingredients to make Poha Chivda

  • Thick poha 500 gms
  • green chillies finely chopped
  • peanuts 1 small cup
  • Daliya 1 small cup
  • sugar as required
  • salt as required
  • curry leaves 10
  • fennel seeds 2 tsp
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • turmeric powder - 1 1/2 tsp

How to make Poha Chivda

  1. Firstly , roast thick poha on slow flame .
  2. Take oil , once it gets hot add mustard seeds , pinch of asafoetida and once they splitter add peanuts .After peanuts are added within few seconds add daliya , curry leaves , green chillies and fennel seeds.
  3. Then put poha and add turmeric powder , salt and sugar .Mix it well by cooking on low flame n keep stirring in between slowly .
  4. Let it cool down and it can be stored in air tight container .

My Tip:

Keep poha in the Sun before making the snack. It will be lighter and crispier
