Ingredients to make Mix Dal Mangori (Green Beans Pakora)

  • 1 small bowl of green moong dal
  • 1/2 small bowl of black chana
  • 1/2 small bowl of masoor dal
  • 1/4 small bowl of normal rice
  • 5-6 garlic cloves
  • 2 big sized onion
  • 5-6 green chilli (or according to taste)
  • 1 inch ginger chopped (2 tablespoon)
  • 1/2 small bowl chopped spring onion
  • 1/2 small bowl chopped coriander leaves
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seed

How to make Mix Dal Mangori (Green Beans Pakora)

  1. Soak all of the dal together for at least 6 hours
  2. Rinse the water from the dal and grind it roughly (make a paste)
  3. Meanwhile, chop the onion, garlic, chilli, ginger, coriander leaves into small pieces.
  4. Take a big bowl and add the dal paste, chopped vegetables, salt and fennel. Mix them them well together
  5. Pour the oil onto the pan and heat the pan. Add a spoonful of batter into the heated pan of oil. Make sure the batter is round shaped
  6. Fry it until the mangori becomes brown in color.
  7. Once cooked, several it hot with tomato chutney.

My Tip:

The rice added in the paste is to make the mangori crisp . Add a good amount (balanced amount) of rice to make it crispy.
