In this recipe I have used all healthy ingredients. Recipe inspired by chef Aamrita Raichand .

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup yellow moong dal
  2. Rolled oats half cup
  3. Carrot grated Half cup
  4. Some bread crumbs for binding
  5. Ginger green chilli paste 1 tsp
  6. Salt as per your taste
  7. Roasted cumin powder as per your taste
  8. Black salt as per your taste
  9. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  10. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  11. Oil for shallow frying
  12. Cornflour 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. First soak moong dal in enough water for about 4 hours . Drain and wash the soaked dal . Take a grinder , process moong dal well without using water . Keep this aside .
  2. Now in a pan add 1 tsp oil , add cumin seeds . When seeds start to crackle , add ginger, green chilli paste , red chilli powder , black salt , roasted cumin powder, salt . Now add ground dal into this . Mix well . Cook until moisture has gone . Let it cool .
  3. Now add grated carrot , bread crumbs into the dal and mix well .
  4. In a bowl make runny batter by using cornflour and water .
  5. Make small kebabs with dal mix. Dip these balls into cornflour mix and then roll into oats .
  6. Take a pan , add 2 tsp oil . Shallow fry these kebabs from both sides. Serve with mint chutney .
