Stir Fry Tuna

Ingredients to make Stir Fry Tuna

  • Tuna fish 2 cups
  • onion 2
  • tomato 2
  • capsicum 1 small (Optional)
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • coriander powder as per taste
  • chilli powder as per taste
  • turmeric a pinch
  • Garam masala as per taste
  • salt to taste
  • oil as required
  • coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • curry leaves a few

How to make Stir Fry Tuna

  1. Marinate tuna with salt and turmeric.
  2. Either boil it in water or fry it. Do not over fry. ( I fried it). Make into small pieces.
  3. In a pan,put 2 tbsp oil,add ginger garlic paste. Fry for some time. Put sliced onions,green chillies & curry leaves, fry till onions are translucent.
  4. Then add tuna, along with all masala powders & salt. Fry for 1 or 2 minute,then add chopped tomatoes & chopped capsicum. Sprinkle some water. Close the pan with a lid.cook for 3-4 minutes, checking in between, if it is cooking without sticking to the bottom, add some more water,if needed.
  5. Remove when all tomatoes are well mashed & all ingredients are mixed with tuna. Put coriander leaves.
  6. Serve

My Tip:

Canned tuna can also be used. If you want with gravy, add 1/2 cup water and add tomato puree.
