Ingredients to make Chhattisgaria Dehati Bada

  • black gram skinned (Urad Daal) - 3 cups
  • rice - 1 cup
  • Finely Chopped Red spinach - 1 bowl
  • Finely Chopped green chillies - 2 to 3 pieces
  • red chilli Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • baking soda - 1 pinch
  • salt - 1 teaspoon
  • oil for frying

How to make Chhattisgaria Dehati Bada

  1. Soak black gram skinned (Urad Daal) and rice for 5 to 6 hours
  2. Grind soaked black gram skinned (Urad Daal) and rice, and make a paste. Add water as per requirement.
  3. Add all other ingredients (Except Oil) in batter. Beat it properly with hand for 5 to 6 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
  5. Now make small flat balls (bada) and deep fry on medium flame till golden brown.
  6. Serve with Red Chutney or Green Chutney and dried green peas curry with onions.
