American Chopsuey with garlic bread

Ingredients to make American Chopsuey with garlic bread

  • 7 to 8 - medium size tomatoes
  • Make a paste of:
  • Garlic flakes - 10
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Noodles (Maggie chotu pack boiled & drained)
  • Tomato chilli sauce - 1 tbsp
  • 1 tsp - sugar
  • Cornflour - 2 tbsp
  • Onion - 1
  • Cabbage - 50 gms
  • Bell peppers/capsicum - 1
  • carrots - 1
  • 1/2 cup - mushrooms
  • Zucchini - 1
  • French beans - 4
  • Babycorns corns - 1/4 cup
  • spring onion - 2 to 3
  • some parsley chopped
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili/Lalmirch powder - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic Bread to serve with the dish.

How to make American Chopsuey with garlic bread

  1. For Tomato gravy: Take 7-8 medium size tomatoes, pressure cook them with water and salt. Cool it and keep water for making gravy. Simultaneously saute all the chopped vegetable also.
  2. In a heavy bottom pan take olive oil. Saute garlic-green chili-ginger paste. Now put chopped onions. Saute.
  3. Add all sauted vegetables. Add pureed tomatoes. Add salt and lal mirch powder.
  4. Add remaining water of boiled tomatoes. Keep on stirring. Add boiled noodles. Put sugar. Now to thicken the gravy, add cornflour, diluted in water.
  5. Garnish with parsley and spring onions.
  6. Serve with buttered garlic bread slices.

My Tip:

Chop vegetables prior to cooking.
