Ingredients to make Custard Cake Baked in Kadahi

  • 4 tsp custard powder vanilla flavour
  • 1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup beaten curd
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cold milk as per need
  • Chopped nuts or tutti fruity for garnishing

How to make Custard Cake Baked in Kadahi

  1. Take all purpose flour and sieve it 3 times, keep aside.
  2. now in 1 cup of beaten curd, add 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1&1/2 tsp of baking powder, 1/2 tsp of baking soda. keep it for 5 mins, it will become frothy,
  3. now add 1/2 cup of oil, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, mix all.
  4. Take 4 tsp of custard powder, mix with little cold milk, and pour it in curd mixture, Mix properly, Now start adding all purpose flour into this wet mix.
  5. pour in a greased tin, sprinkle nuts. bake at 170 degrees C for 30 to 35 minutes
  6. I made this cake in kadahi. Preheat a heavy base kadahi. place a stand in it. Now keep the cake tin over it and cover the kadahi.
  7. Bake on a low flame for 40-45 minutes. Keep checking in between.
  8. Slice when cold
