Fried Batti

Ingredients to make Fried Batti

  • For Batti -
  • atta 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • oil-2 tbsp
  • For filling-
  • Sattu -250GM
  • onion 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Spring onion 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • ginger garlic green chilli paste - 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • Green coriander leaves finely chopped - 1/2 cup
  • oil for frying
  • Desi ghee for dipping

How to make Fried Batti

  1. Mix atta, salt oil and water and knead a firm dough. Cover and keep aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick kadai, add ginger garlic green chilli paste and saute for 1 minute. Add onion and spring onion and saute for 2 minutes. Add sattu and salt and cook on low flame till the mixture turns light brown in colour.
  3. Add coriander leaves in the mixture and allow to cool. Take a portion of dough, flatten it, fill about 1 tbsp of prepared mixture in it. seal the edges and make a round ball.
  4. Add baatis in boiling water for 10 minutes. Drain all water and deep fry baatis in hot oil.
  5. Now crush the baatis from the center and add hot desi ghee. Serve with daal, garlic chutney or bharta

My Tip:

Have Battis with Garlic chutney. This is authentic Rajasthani taste
