Medu Vada

Ingredients to make Medu Vada

  • White urad dal 2 cups
  • Rice flour 3 tbsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • oil for frying

How to make Medu Vada

  1. Soak urad daal in water for 5 to 6 hrs. Then make a paste. Do not add more water
  2. Keep in a deep bowl, add rice flour & salt mix it well. keep for 10 minutes
  3. Heat oil in kadai. When the oil becomes hot, apply some water to your palms. Take a blob of batter. Flatten it and make a hole in the center. Gently transfer it to the kadai. Fry till golden and crisp. Remove from kadai and place on tissue paper sheets. Serve.

My Tip:

I have given a very simple and easy to make version of medu vada. Traditionally, a lot of ingredients are added to the batter.
