Basil Lemonade

Ingredients to make Basil Lemonade

  • Few Fresh Basil Leaves - a handful
  • 1/2 Cup - Sugar
  • Lemon Juice - 1 to 2 tbsp
  • Club Soda - 200 ml
  • Ice Cubes as per choice ( the more the better)
  • Salt/ sendha namak to taste

How to make Basil Lemonade

  1. Cook the Sugar and 3/4 Cup water over medium heat in saucepan till the sugar dissolves and you get a slightly thicken syrup.
  2. Remove from the heat and add fresh and clean basil leaves in the syrup. Keep aside and cool down at room temperature.
  3. Strain the syrup and store in glass jar for further use.
  4. Pour 2 to 3 Tbsps of basil syrup in each glass. Add lemon juice and ice cubes and little salt (optional) and stir it.
  5. Then top up with club soda and garnish with few fresh basil leaves. Serve Chilled.
My Tip: You can store this sugar syrup in freeze for further use.
