Crispy Cabbage Pakoda

Ingredients to make Crispy Cabbage Pakoda

  • cabbage shredded finely - 1 cup
  • Finely chopped onion - 2
  • Raw rice - 1 cup
  • Toor dal - 1/2 cup
  • red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying

How to make Crispy Cabbage Pakoda

  1. Soak raw rice and dal together for 2 hours.
  2. Take a mixer and coarsely blend raw rice and dal along with salt and red chilli powder without adding any water.
  3. Transfer the contents to a bowl. Add chopped cabbage and onions. Mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a Kadai. Make small balls out of the mixture, flatten it and deep fry in oil.

My Tip:

Fry the pakodas immediately after adding onions as it leaves water. If in case the mixture becomes watery, you can add 1 tbsp besan.
